» Bonju «  dit-on ici pour good morning !

A bientôt. Donnez-moi, svp, de vos nouvelles.

Merci. Amitiés.

Norbert Stoffel.

The Institute of Building and Construction Engineering (IBCE) is one of MCASTs institutes that started to operate since 2001. Today, the institute offers a wide range of initial vocational and educational (IVET) programmes focusing on construction and building services. These courses are offered to learners who have either completed their secondary compulsory education and to those who have completed their post-secondary education. IVET programmes are harmonised into qualification levels, ranging from level 1 up to level 5, within the European framework of qualifications.

Throughout these years, and in parallel with the Copenhagen process, VET reform took place through which the institute managed to consolidate IVET programmes, mainly by shifting the learning process to one based on outcomes and criteria. In addition, the concept of embedding learning has also been introduced in Level 1 programmes. The latter allows learners to obtain a solid foundation of key skills, through integration with vocational subjects. Key skills, are also included in other programmes offered by IBCE, and are harmonised with Malta’s qualifications framework based on knowledge, skills and competencies. Simultaneously, continuous vocational and educational (CVET) programmes at IBCE are being systemised so that they may be considered as modular ‘building blocks’ by learners requiring necessary up-skilling, training and qualifications.
